Grand Ridge National Bank was founded on April 6, 1903 to serve the needs of the business and agricultural community in LaSalle County. Premier Commerce Bancorp, Inc. located in Wheaton, Illinois acquired Grand Ridge National Bank in 2010, and brought to the Bank additional experience in many areas including commercial banking for small to mid-sized businesses and professionals, operations, and advanced technology. In 2011, Grand Ridge National Bank acquired from First State Bank of Illinois a branch in Wheaton, Illinois, as a new base from which to expand its geographic market area to all of Chicago Metropolitan area. In 2015, Premier Commerce Bancorp further expanded the Bank’s presence by acquiring Winfield Community Bank located in Winfield, Illinois, and merged it into Grand Ridge National Bank. Grand Ridge National Bank has over 100 years of successful banking history and experience in Illinois.

Grand Ridge National Bank does not participate in sub-prime lending and other highly risky lending and investments, so the Bank did not experience the large losses of many other financial institutions during the economic downturn.
