Chairman & CEO

Mark Scheffers

Mr. Scheffers is Chairman and CEO for Premier Commerce Bancorp, Inc. and for its subsidiary, Grand Ridge National Bank. His experience includes over 20 years of banking and leadership experience including prior executive experience as National Head of LaSalle Bank of Chicago’s Business Banking Sales Division while driving its successful expansion in multiple states. Prior experience also includes various Middle Market and Commercial Banking leadership positions at Fifth Third Bank and its predecessor Old Kent Financial Corporation. On a national level, Mr. Scheffers previously served on the Business Banking Board for the Consumer Bankers Association. Mr. Scheffers also served on the Board for the Alliance of Illinois Manufacturers and on the Board for NORBIC, an economic development organization that promotes job growth and community advancement in Illinois. Mr. Scheffers earned a MBA from the University of Notre Dame and graduated with honors. He also earned a Bachelor of Business from Western Michigan University with a major in Finance and Commercial Law and graduated with honors. Additionally, Mr. Scheffers graduated from the ABA Commercial Banking Graduate School at the University of Oklahoma.

President & CFO

Gerald Johnson

Mr. Johnson is a President and CFO for Grand Ridge National Bank. With over 30 years of banking experience, Mr. Johnson has served as President of Grand Ridge National Bank since 1987. On the national level, Mr. Johnson has served as the Illinois District 1 Director for the Independent Community Bankers Association and as a member of both its Payments and Technology Committee and the Federal Home Loan Bank Taskforce Committee. At the State level, Mr. Johnson is a past Chairman of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois. Locally Mr. Johnson has served as a Trustee and President of the Seneca Fire Protection and Ambulance District and on a Township Planning Commission. Mr. Johnson received a B.S. Degree in Agriculture Education from Illinois State University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking – Madison Wisconsin.

Chief Operating Officer

Jeffrey De Young

Mr. De Young is the Chief Operating Officer for Grand Ridge National Bank. With over 20 years of relevant banking experience, his current responsibilities include technology, loan and deposit administration, cash management, and retail loan and deposit growth. His prior experience includes a broad range of positions in community banking such as Division Manager for Retail Banking, security, commercial cash management, data center relations, compliance, BSA, technology, and disaster recovery management. Mr. De Young earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University Northwest, and he graduated from the University of Wisconsin/BAI Graduate School of Retail Banking.
